Bryan & Hannah Cliver are set to open the doors of STRIDE Crown Point the first of the year. STRIDE Crown Point reinvents the definition of a runner by allowing members to walk, jog, run, and transform in treadmill interval classes designed for all fitness levels. Here is more about STRIDE Crown Point.
1. Why did you start your business?
We are extremely passionate about fitness and overall wellness, driven to make a positive difference in NWI, and excited to leave a legacy for our son. Elijah, our son, has Autism, and we are excited to leverage the business to work closely with non profits in NWI to support families that have children with special needs. Lastly, running has changed every aspect of our lives in an incredible way, and we want to share that experience and impact others similarly.
Certified coach led, high energy classes open to walkers, joggers, and runners on our incredible Woodway treadmills. We have 3 types of classes that focus on interval training, core training, and strength training. We will also offer special classes at times throughout the year focused on preparing members for races of varying distances. Our studio will have a boutique feel and will also offer high quality apparel and other fitness related items for sale.
3. Do you have a mission statement of a philosophy regarding your business?
Mission: STRIDE Crown Point will reinvent the definition of a runner through strategically designed coached indoor classes taken at your own pace empowering everyone to cross their own personal finish line.
Vision: Create a space where running is understood at all levels as an essential mode of fitness and recognized by everyone as one of the most engaging and effective ways to achieve your mental and physical goals.
We almost missed out on STRIDE. We fell in love with Xponential Fitness and were eager to move forward with one of their 7 (at the time) boutique fitness brands. Hannah had major back surgery in October 2019, so we hit the pause button on purchasing a studio. By the time we resumed discussions with Xponential Fitness in early 2020 they had added an eighth vertical to their incredible list of brands: STRIDE. Once we found out about STRIDE we never looked back.
5. What’s your best advice for someone starting out?
Set realistic goals and celebrate the wins both big and small. Learn from the obstacles rather than letting them defeat you. Support and community are invaluable, so surround yourself with positive people that want to see you succeed. It is a marathon; not a sprint.
