In 2022, we will be featuring the stories of everyday runners & asking why they started and how they stay motivated? And what advice they would offer to someone just starting out? We are pleased this week to feature Todd Brown. You will see Todd at many of the races. When you do, be sure to say “Hello”. Thank you, Todd, for sharing your journey with us!
Why did you start running?
I decided it was time to worry about my health and try to find a way to reduce stress.
How did you get started?
Put on some shoes, grabbed a water bottle and started some off down country roads where I live.
What is your favorite Hometown Happenings event?
I love all the hometown happening races they all have a great theme and always have great energy with great people at the runs.
What goal do you still want to accomplish with your running?
I would love to go on vacation every year in a different location and run a race.
What is your best advice to a new runner or someone just getting started?
Listen to your body don’t do more then your body is ready for. Buy good shoes. Talk to other runners because most runners are kind and caring. Most important run for yourself run to make yourself happy.
