Many are concerned about COVID-19 and staying safe. As we begin to do live events, people have concerns regarding what precautions will be taken. If you are coming from a different state – or even a different county – the rules may be different from the rules in which the event is taking place. Below is a summary of the precautions we are taking. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at Tim@YourHometownEvents.com
COVID policies:
- Packet pickup: Packets will be laid out on tables for participants to pick up to limit the amount of touching.
- Please wear masks. Masks are required now in Lake County for groups of 25 or more that are gathered together outdoors. So, before and after a race or ride, please mask up. With staggering the starts to avoid large crowds at the start line, we do not feel it is necessary to wear a mask while engaged in the activity as you are outside and not in a group of more than 25 people. Masking up before or after the race, though, helps protect our neighbors and their loved ones.
- Hand sanitizer will be available on the registration table, vendor tables, at bike support & by the concession area.
- Social distancing: The pavilion is much larger than the crowd that will be attending so there is ample room to spread out. Please maintain a distance of 6 feet from those outside of your family or the friends you came with.
- Starting Line: Starts will be staggered to space runners 6 feet apart from one another. Families and people who came to the event together can run closer at their discretion. Should you wish to pass, please maintain a distance of 6 feet at all times while doing so.
- Food: Food at the events will either be laid out and indivdually wrapped or plated individually. We ask that you only touch the item(s) you take.
I know this should go without saying, but PLEASE.. if you have a temperature or if you are not feeling well, PLEASE stay home!
Thank you for working with us to make our events as safe & as enjoyable as possible.
