St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner! Whether you are Irish or not, we have several fun ways for you to share your “Irish” pride this year while helping out a great cause.
Hometown Happenings is teaming up with Buddy Bags to provide weekend bags of food to school kids on the free lunch program. Can you imagine being a kid and not being sure about your next meal? The program is currently helping over 100 students who attend MacArthur Elementary.
How can you help? 3 easy ways!:
- Buy a t-shirt! Featuring our bellowed Courthouse, what better way to show your Irish spirit at the Crown Point parade or at a party.
- Anyone can Run/Walk 1 mile! Join us for the St. Pat’s Pre-Parade 1 Miler right on the parade route just before the Parade! How fun to already have thousands gathered to cheer you on! Sign up before 3/9 & the $15 shirt is included in your $20 entry fee! This gives you ALL the fun of the event for only $5!
- Bring the family to “Are Leprechauns Real?” and hear the stories of leprechauns and other Irish tales from “Haunted Indiana” author Mark Marimen. Tickets are only $5 – the cost of a weekend bag of food for a local kid on the free lunch program.
As always, we appreciate you being a part of the fun and hope to see you wearing your “Crown Point Irish” shirt at one of these events!
